EQQ Installation Guide

This guide walks you through installing EQQ on your Windows server and connecting it to your business database.

System Requirements

  • Windows Server 2016 or later (or Windows 10/11 for evaluation)
  • IIS (Internet Information Services) enabled
  • SQL Server 2016 or later (SQL Server Express also supported)
  • .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later
  • Minimum 4 GB RAM; 8 GB recommended

Step 1: Download EQQ

After purchase or during your free trial, you will receive a download link for the EQQ installation package. Download the installer to your server.

Step 2: Run the Installer

  1. Right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator
  2. Accept the license agreement
  3. Choose your installation folder (default: C:\EQQ\EQQ_App)
  4. Click Install and wait for the process to complete

Step 3: Configure IIS

The installer creates an IIS application automatically. Verify in IIS Manager that:

  • An application pool named EQQ exists and is running
  • The EQQ site is bound to your chosen port (default: 80)

Step 4: Database and Configuration Setup

The installer handles database creation and configuration automatically. In the installer you will:

  1. Enter your database server name, database name, and an admin credential the installer uses to create the EQQ database
  2. Set the password for the dedicated EQQ database login used at runtime
  3. The installer runs the required SQL scripts to create the database schema and automatically configures Web.config with the correct connection settings

Step 5: Complete the Installation

Click Install. Once the installer finishes, browse to your EQQ URL and log in with the administrator credentials you set during installation.
